Flexpoint Sensor Systems has received a further order for Bend Sensors from Card Access to be deployed in their smart pressure sensors.

The Smart Pressure Sensor is a user friendly presence sensor that is deployed in residential automation systems, and detects when not only a room but also in a chair, bed or sofa is sat upon. The Card Access device can modify the sensing levels. The size and calibration makes for better control and tactile strength. It has also been incorporated into the company’s Close By Network, which is a monitoring system for senior citizens. The system launched in January 2010 incorporates wireless sensors, software and web application into a care network. It allows attendants to decide the when what and where monitoring and controlling is necessary. They can also decide the mode to transmit the information to close relatives.

The CloseBy Network addresses the specific need to monitor the wellbeing of senior citizens who wish to live with dignity in their own homes.
