SureSight Vision System Receives Certification on Dassault Falcon 7X

Esterline CMC Electronics, a global designer and producer of electronics products for use in aviation applications, is a subsidiary of Esterline.

The company has recently declared receiving an approval for its new edition of SureSight CMA-2600 I-Series Integrated Sensor System. The solution is suitable for use as an Enhanced Flight Vision System on the Dassault Falcon 7X.

The approval that has come from the Federal Aviation Administration is preceded by a certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency. The certification was  awarded in July 2010. These developments will enable F7X operators to use operational credits available to aircraft that feature an EFVS.

The SureSight series of integrated sensor systems includes the CMA-2600, CMA-2600i, and the CMA-2700, a high resolution, multi capability sensor system that is still being developed. They are designed specifically for exacting video performance and quality standards. The EFVS sensors enable airframe manufacturers and prime contractors and deliver increased levels of situational awareness in harsh operating environments.
