Alpha Micro to Distribute EnOcean Energy Sensors Across UK

Alpha Micro Components, a franchised distributor of electronic components, has declared collaborating with EnOcean, a producer of automatic wireless technology.

The agreement will allow Alpha to distribute EnOcean’s energy harvesting wireless sensing systems across UK and Ireland. The design of the module allows it to source energy from the existing points located within a premise, such as the energy from the push of a light switch or a difference in temperature from a machine or radiator that could send wireless signals.

EnOcean’s sensing devices are being incorporated into over 100,000 premises worldwide and enable customers to develop automation systems for their residential and industrial premises that are energy-efficient. The technology helps users in any field to capture heat, motion and light and convert it to be used as a primary source to power wireless sensors. This allows the system to work without batteries, reducing costs and maintenance, and making it self-sufficient. The devices transmit and receive information through radio frequencies, removing the need for external wiring, and reducing further costs.
