Advanstar has declared that GPSO “Biker Down” Motorcycle Crash Sensor, a multi-operative monitoring and GPS real time tracking device, bagged the Dealer’s Choice Award in the Fourth Annual Dealer Expo Kickstart New Product Contest.
The event was held along with the 2011 Dealer Expo in Indianapolis. The contest identifies latest products in the powersports segment depending on its novelty, design and production quality, profitability and individuality in the market.
The GPSO ‘Biker Down’ Motorcycle Crash Sensor is exclusively developed for a biker, who collides off road or comes across a remote place, is wounded or unconscious, out of people’s reach, or wants to make an urgent call from his phone. The impact of a motorcycle collision will transmit an alarm to a round-the-clock monitoring center that will immediately make a call to the biker’s phone. If the call is unanswered, the 911emergency medical services will be activated automatically. The sensor is an integrated device featuring anti-robbery ignition shut down and the owner of the bike can view the location of the device and other details such as speed and distance. It is water resistant, enabling it to be included on motorbikes, jet skis and ATVs and can be shifted from one vehicle to another.
Michael Botos, Chief Operating Officer of Recontrak GPS Systems, stated that the device is the most significant security product for a biker next to helmet. He mentioned that winning the Dealer’s Choice Award and showcasing the product at the Dealer Expo gave them a priceless experience. He mentioned that they got introduced to several dealers, suppliers, media persons and also made agreement with dealers to supply their products nationwide.
In view of winning the Dealer’s Choice Award, GPSO “Biker Down” Motorcycle Crash Sensors product has been offered a free booth at the 2012 Dealer Expo, scheduled to be held at the Indiana Convention Center between 17 and 19 February, 2012.
