Finesse Solutions declared that there would be a live demonstration of their new product called SmartBag, at Interpex 2011 to be held at New York between March 29 and 31.
SmartBags serve as plug and play bio-processing containers, which have a full measurement capacity upto 21 days and are resistant to gamma radiation. The SmartBag integrates the function of TruFlour pH and dissolved oxygen phase fluorometric sensor into a compact pre-calibrated SmartChip. The measurements taken by this chip are accurate, drift-free and can be taken on the spot.
The chip uses advanced optical components thereby minimizing photo-degradation of the sensing elements. The TruFlour temperature is elevated to 316L thus ensuring stable readings. The SmartBag is welded along with the single use vessel. Therefore, the need for sterile connectors is absent; and so the complications such as leakage and contamination are eliminated. The materials of the SensorPak are USP class VI compliant and also similar to TruFlour. This facilitates direct measurements and scale-up from10L rocker bags upto 2,000L SUBs.
At Interpex 2011, Finesse Solutions plans to set up the SmartBag for commonly used rocker platform trays as part of the presentation. In addition to this they plan to showcase the T300 lab scale controller for gas and liquid management
Dr.Mark Selkar, the CTO of Finesse Solutions, was happy to introduce the SmartPak technology at the Interpex 2011.Talking about the salient features of Smartpak, he said the product was optimized for accuracy and convenient usage. He further added that Smartpak would be a complete solution for single use seed train bio-processing applications by providing reliable measurements.
