LumaSense Technologies, a major supplier of temperature and gas sensors, has launched the LumaSoft Gas MultiPoint 7950 remote control software.
The software remotely monitors gas discharges and manipulates around 24 multi-gas monitors using a computer system. The software can be utilized with the company’s INNOVA 1316 multi-gas monitor to develop a cost-effective scalable system.
The LumaSoft Gas MultiPoint 7950 software can be deployed in several industrial operations such as for testing exhaust gas in biogas or fermenter plants. Its distinct sensors and USB feature facilitate easy installation of gas sample lines and also avoid contagion risk during sampling.
In addition, the dispersed approach used by the software can significantly bring down idle time by enabling facilities to switch off particular monitoring channels to perform maintenance tasks, without disturbing the remaining system. LumaSense also provides INNOVA 1309, an innovative central gas analyzer.
LumaSense Technologies’ Global Vice President of Marketing, Jeff Becker stated that a central strategy to gas monitoring and controlling has several advantages, but the system can be costly to procure and maintain for plants with minimum sample points. He added that the LumaSoft Gas MultiPoint 7950 offers a cost-effective solution, enabling facilities to develop compact monitoring systems that are scalable if required.
The LumaSoft Gas MultiPoint 7950’s innovative interface facilitates easy installation. It features an efficient multi-gas monitoring system for determining the levels of up to five gas concentration in every sample point. The system is used in several applications such as biogas, fermentation and agriculture discharges that need exclusive facilities for observing around three to five gases.
In addition, information is saved on a SQL server for easy access and to generate custom reports, even when the system is carrying out measurement operations. The system features an integrated OPC Server for transmitting setup, measurement and alarms information. The software can be used with Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows XP.
