TowerJazz Announces Availability of CMOS Image Sensor Technology and PDKs for Prototyping

TowerJazz has declared that firms, educational institutions and laboratories can avail its innovative process design kits (PDKs) and 0.18 micron power management and CMOS image sensor technology to develop archetypes via CMP services.

CMP is a non-profit organization focused on helping its clients to access low cost foundries by merging their designs on Multi-Project wafers. It has selected TowerJazz for its expertise in process technology and IP products.

TowerJazz provides cutting edge Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS platforms along with advanced Rdson values such as non-volatile memory (NVM) in power management sector. The company also provides Y-Flash technology, a state-of-the-art solution for the NVM segment known for its compact size of cell, absence of mask adder and adaptability to execute memory of different sizes.

The company provides sophisticated CMOS image sensors, which are popular for its inside pixel development and competence. The company also supports pixel customization depending on project requirements. High-end functionality features such as reduced noise and active range contribute to several digital imaging operations.

CMP’s Director, Bernard Courtois expressed his excitement in partnering with TowerJazz as it can improve the company’s present process segment and address the requirements of the clients. He added that the reputed characterization quality and the consequential PDKs will enable the company to succeed in the silicon market.

CMP and TowerJazz will participate in the 2011 Design Automation and Test in Europe (DATE) conference, scheduled to be held in Grenoble, France between 14 and 18 March. Proficient employees of both the firms will explain about the latest process technologies.
