Talking Thermostats.com, a Minneapolis-based provider of specialized comfort control equipment for the vacation home market, has released its BAYweb Internet Enabled Thermostat.
The BAYweb is designed for vacation homes, condominiums, cottages and cabins. The vacation homes can be heated up or cooled down before the arrival of guests, by controlling the thermostat through web-enabled cell phones or Internet browsers. The system performance and energy consumption can be graphed and analyzed through remote computers.
The BAYweb thermostat has an inbuilt internal temperature alarm that can alert the owner or property manager of any failure in the system’s heating or cooling functionalities. The thermostat can be configured to send the alarm through text messages or emails. An additional alarm function in the BAYweb thermostat can be used to connect to external devices such as water alarms.
