Flexpoint Sensor Systems, a thin film sensing technology supplier, has developed new sensors for two major automobile manufacturers.

The sensors, utilizing Bend Sensor technology, have rapid response times and are robust in nature. They are designed for advanced testing of safety products.

Flexpoint intends to finalize the preproduction requirements for the sensors with one of the automobile manufacturers. This would facilitate a production deal for the year 2012.

The company announced that it is collaborating with other Tier 1 suppliers and manufacturers on other sensor products for the automotive segment. Flexpoint expects to earn significant revenues through these contracts.
