The advanced capacitive sensing pad, ClearPad 3000 from Synaptics, was implemented on the Smartphone M9 from Meizu. The Smartphone M9 becomes the first in the Chinese market to use the ClearPad 3000. The ClearPad 3000 gives a superior touch control, including a full 10-finger control.
The M9 Smartphone is a sophisticated mobile that runs on Android 2.2 and uses an advanced 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor. The LCD display on the phone measures 3.5 inches and is enabled by ClearPad and permits multi-touch sensing and an excellent user interface.
The ClearPad from Synaptics is designed using advanced image sensing technology. The sensor provided a better user interface in the Android operating system with features like multi-touch tracking. High Accuracy, Low power consumption, sophisticated touch response and excellent three-dimensional user interface are some of the distinguishing features of the ClearPad.
Kevin Barber, the senior vice president and general manager of the Handheld Division of Synaptics was happy about the implementation of ClearPad on the Meizu M9 Smartphone. He regarded the M9 to be a high-end phone in the Chinese market and was confident that ClearPad’s premium touch features are bound to get a larger audience through the M9 Smartphone. Kevin was confident that through ClearPad they are able to deliver reliable and unique touch experience to OEM’s who rely upon to differentiate their products in the market.
Jack Wong, the CEO of Meizu felt that the ClearPad’s features suited the need for highly accurate and responsive touch solution that Meizu Smartphones were looking for. He felt that the implementation was a success because of the exclusive touch experience offered by the ClearPad coupled with sound engineering support received.
