iQ-200 Captures Data from Thermocouples, Sensors, and Pressure Sensors

Advanced Thermal Solutions has  come out with a system that is capable of measuring air velocity, temperature and pressure simultaneously with the help of a single instrument.

The iQ200 takes measurements from up to 12 J-type thermocouples, 16 air/velocity sensors and four pressure sensors all at the same time.

The surface area temperature of heat sinks, spreaders, component packages, housing parts is measured using the thermocouples. The measurement range is -40 to 750°C. In detail analysis of air flow is done by measuring temperature and velocity at multiple points. Thin ATS candlestick sensors are placed at many points through the system to measure the velocity of airflow from -10 to +65°C. The air velocity range is from natural convention to 6 m/s, but the iQ-200 can be suitably modified and made to measure airflow in the order of 50 m/s and air temperature upto 85°C. Four differential transducers measure the pressure drop along the circuit cards, assemblies and orifice plates. The pressure ranges are from 0 to 1,034 Pa.

The iQ-200 comes along with the software IQ stage, which takes care of managing the input data from the three kinds of sensors. The software also facilitates high quality graphical presentation of data that is captured. The iQ-200 connects to the computer through the USB port for data storage and management.
