Zilog today stated that the latest Fast response CO2 Sensor module from SenseAir would have the Z8F082A MCU as the core microcontroller. This microcontroller is from Zilog, which has a proven track record in supplying reliable embedded microcontrollers that are tailor made to suit user applications.
The Z8F082A microcontroller from Zilog comprises a high resolution sigma and delta analog to digital converter. This converter reads and converts the signal from the infrared-CO2 sensor and further process the signal through the filtering and measurement algorithms of SenseAir to give the final measurements of the gas being sensed.
SenseAir tops the CO2 Sensor market list and now by working with Zilog has come up with an innovative new design of the Fast Response CO2 sensor. The new SenseAir CO2 Engine is very useful in a broad range for applications that require fast and sensitive gas measurement systems like food and pharmaceuticals packaging industries.
Steve Darrough, who takes care of the Marketing Division at Zilog, commented that Zilog’s products fit well into the sensor, power management and energy management and motion sensing applications. He also said that Zilog’s MCU-based solutions can be used in both classic and old modules as well as new modules. Zilog’s MCU-based solutions provide customized and complete platform solutions as well.
Arvid Egeland, the managing director of SenseAir, spoke about the customer relations at SenseAir. He went on to say that SenseAir is committed to providing tailor made solutions to its customer base, which spans throughout the world. He added that SenseAir was steeped in many research and development activities, which helps them maintain the leading spot in gas analyzing markets.
