Turck has expanded its range of BIM-UNR magnetic cylinder position sensors by introducing a new series of sensors with NPN output. The sensors have been specifically developed to be fixed into C-groove cylinders without the need of any accessories.
The BIM-UNR sensors have been improved by means of a mounting screw that provides the flexibility to users to select a flat-bladed screwdriver or an Allen wrench for sensor deployment.
The sensors can be safely fitted by an easy quarter-turn of the mounting screw, which is present near the cable outlet. Even when a cable is taken out, the design will make sure that the sensors stay tightly fixed.
These tiny sensors can be mounted into a C-groove via the top for easy fitting. The dynamic element of the sensor is positioned at the groove’s base, near the magnet, to offer consistent detection on short-stroke cylinders. Additionally, the BIM-UNR offers high resistance to EMC interruption according to EN 60947-5-2 specifications.
