Carlo Gavazzi Automation Unveils PD70 Sensor with High-Efficiency Aspheric Lens

Carlo Gavazzi Automation has added a new slim line equipment, called the PD70 sensor, to its wide range of pedestrian entrance and door sensors. The PD70 sensor, with the dimensions 11.5x11.5x70 mm, can be installed in turnstiles, pass gates, narrow aluminum doors and other applications with limited spaces.

A 10-30 V DC supply is used to drive the sensor and emitter. The emitter comes built with a test input to verify the sensing functions in a fast manner. The PD70 sensor can be used to replace traditional door sensors. Built for both retrofits and new construction, the PD70 sensor features mounting holes. The sensor fixing screw can be installed in a simple way with a double-sided tape.

The PD70 has been developed according to the latest standards established by North America and Europe. It comes built with a high-performance aspheric lens to cover distance to 12 m. The product offers a wide-degree detection angle and conforms to ESPE-2 industry stipulations.

The PD70 complies with UL325, EN12445, EN12978 and EN12453 standards. It features a tough polycarbonate cover and has IP67 protection against water and dust. The product can be used for a range of applications such as entrance safety and control, retail checkout counters and industrial doors.
