Novelda has received the 2011 Frost & Sullivan Europe New Product Innovation Award for its contribution in the field of radar sensors. The award was presented to the company for its advanced Novelda Impulse Radar transceiver, NVA6000.
The NVA6000 Novelda Impulse Radar sensor considerably reduces power consumption and improves the processing speed. It can be used in a wide range of sensor applications such as energy automation, defence, health monitoring, medical diagnosis, automotive, security surveillance and industrial.
The NVA6000 offers several advanced features when compared to conventional technology. The high-range-resolution radar systems utilize short microwave pulses.
V. Sankaranarayanan, Research Analyst at Frost & Sullivan, stated that the Novelda Impulse Radar transceiver can be flawlessly incorporated into compact mobiles. He also stated that the radar system can be used to locate objects hidden behind obstacles and delivers high sensitivity, speed and precision.
The CMOS impulse radar transceiver is built on the Continuous Time Binary Valued (CTBV) design platform. It successfully removes bottlenecks that are usually associated with standard digital design-based processors.
