Anchor Audio has launched a new personal portable PA system called RescueMAN. The company has planned to showcase the responder at the InfoComm International Tradeshow, scheduled to be held in June 2011 at Orlando, Florida. The RescueMAN was developed for voice amplification during emergencies or to control a crowd.
The RescueMAN is capable of producing 109 dB of high clarity sound from a lightweight enclosure that is wearable and can be fitted into one’s pocket. The system weighs four pounds and is equipped with a high quality sound recording and replay feature through which it can record a voice message lasting up to 20 sec. The recorded messages are not erased even when power is switched off. It can be easily operated using push buttons, even when wearing large gloves; the buttons prevent dust or water from entering the system.
The RescueMAN requires 10 AA Alkaline or NiMH rechargeable batteries for operation and can be used up to 12 h with a single time charge. Since it is powered by batteries, it is fully portable.
In situations where no batteries are available, car charger can also be used for charging it. There is a red siren button for issuing alerts that instantly catch the attention of crowds. The speaker comes with accessories such as adjustable strap and waterproof, durable case.
Apart from the RescueMAN, Anchor Audio plans to showcase other products such as Liberty Platinum, MegaVox Pro and Beacon Line Array.
