Sensonor Technologies, a company specializing in MEMS technology, has launched the new high performance silicon MEMS gyro module, STIM210, for system designers who are forever under pressure to offer lower, better and more compact solutions.
The STIM210 is a lightweight, cost effective and high reliability 3 axis gyro module. With a weight of 55 g, bias instability of 0.5 deg/h and a bias steadiness over the operating temperature range of 10 deg/h, the STIM201 provides a suitable choice for system designers to relocate highly expensive, large, delicate mechanical gyro sensors or current Fiber Optic Gyro.
The product also helps Sensonor Technologies to develop a wide range of high performance inertial sensors and thus expand the boundaries of MEMS gyros. It is an ITAR free product and apt for platform navigation, stabilization and guidance applications in the aerospace, industrial and defense markets.
Hans Richard Petersen, who is the Sensonor Technologies’ Vice President of Sales & Marketing, revealed that the STIM210 was one more step in achieving strong, reliable, high performance yet affordable gyros. He further mentioned that with the help of the STIM210, the company would be able to handle applications in the guidance and navigation segment. It would be launched at the Sensors Expo in USA on the 6th of June and at the Sensors and Test in Germany.
