Kionix, along with its parent company ROHM Semiconductor, will co-exhibit at the Sensors Expo and Conference to be held in Rosemont on June 7 and 8, 2011.
One more ROHM group company, OKI Semiconductor, would be joining them to present and offer total sensor solutions, which include hall-effect, acceleration, position, magnetic, velocity, temperature and wireless sensors along with sensor system parts. ROHM and Kionix would demonstrate a wide range of products and applications at the booth. They would highlight their technical superiority and offer real world examples of sensors in commercial applications.
Greg Galvin, who is the CEO & President of Kionix, revealed that the joint exhibition, along with ROHM, would attract customers who are on the lookout for complete sensor solutions. He stated that along with ROHM, they would provide not only acelerometers, inertial sensors, magnetometers and gyros but would also offer a diverse range of other sensors that are essentially needed in products such as tablets and mobile handsets. The Kionix-ROHM portfolio consists of sensors such as temperature sensors, hall-effect sensors, IR LEDs, ambient light sensors, bio-sensors for medical use and proximity sensors.
According to Mike Smith, General Manager and Director of Design Centers at ROHM Semiconductor USA, the company’s environmental, bio & motion sensors permit users to work with their devices in a competing manner and the combination of software, sensors and reference kits give their customers a complete package, which reduces both the cost-of-ownership and time-to-market.
Smith will give a presentation on June 7 on ‘Enhancing the User Experience through Smart Sensor Technology’. Ken Foust, Kionix’ Director of customer technical support would discuss about practical methods to help designers to conquer sensor integration issues in his presentation on June 7th 2011.
