Flexpoint Sensor Systems revealed that it has collaborated with a major manufacturer of wireless technology to develop wireless capability for sensors.
Monitoring of occupancy is becoming increasingly important in every field such as theaters and public transportation, and this technology when combined with occupant sensing ability, would open up several more possibilities to market Flexpoint’s sensors and related systems.
According to Clark Mower, President of Flexpoint, the company is excited about the application’s limitless potential. He mentioned that they had received enquiries for diverse applications such as monitoring buses, taxi cabs, movie theaters and trains. These enquiries were from various locations and sources such as South America and Europe and from different companies in the US. He also stated that they have planned production and marketing of this product during the last half of 2012. According to him, the market size could be in the range of millions of dollars within the next few years.
Mower also revealed that the company would be posting a CEO cast on its website, which would reveal details about the company and its technologies for further improving its communication with the investing public. It would also implement a shareholder email list to provide weekly updates about the company to the shareholders.
