AMETEK Unveils JOFRA Professional Temperature Calibrator Series

AMETEK Test & Calibration Instrument has launched the JOFRA Professional Temperature Calibrators (PTC) series.

JOFRA Professional Temperature Calibrators

The calibrators are designed to offer a user-friendly interface and feature high accuracy and stability. They have an active dual heating zone system that offers high temperature uniformity in the insert, no matter what the number or size of the immersed sensors. The calibrators have advanced smart sensors, which help in plug ¡¥n¡¦ play connectivity. They feature a full-color VGA display and a USB connection which enables enhanced communications and download of software.

The calibrator insert temperature is determined by a reference sensor. This sensor offers feedback to the dual-zone temperature system, which compensates for the differences in temperature caused by testing many different sensors. The reference sensor aids in highly precise temperature calibrations in different sized sensors, when many different sensors are being tested. The calibrator series incorporate a new Superior Temperature Standard (STS-150) reference sensor, which has a 90„a angle. The top of this reference sensor is only a little higher than the calibrator¡¦s top.

The novel design of the calibrator series enables calibration of sensors with connection heads and threaded sensors. The STS-150 reference sensor has all calibration data of the sensor and permits change of the reference sensor by the users.

The company offers three versions of the calibrators. The PTC-155 spans a -25 to 155¢XC temperature range, the PTC-350 covers a temperature range of 33 to 350¢XC, and the PTC 660 covers the 33 to 660¢XC temperature range. The calibrators also have high heating and cooling speeds. Three models are available: 1. PTC-A professional calibrator, 2. PTC-B professional temperature calibrator having input for sensor-under-test and a reference sensor, and 3. PTC-C professional temperature calibrator, which has input reference sensors.
