Developer of tire pressure monitoring systems, Schrader has declared improved platform coverage for its EZ-Sensor technology.
The sensor technology is already covering a wide range of platforms such as Nissan, Toyota, Mazda, Honda, Chevrolet, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, GM and Ford. The improved platform coverage enables the company to cover new vehicle platforms such as Subaru, Suzuki and Mitsubishi.
The company, in addition to carrying out comprehensive in-lab testing, has broadened the testing procedure by equipping Las Vegas employee vehicles, fleet units and cabs with the sensor technology. It will continue to broaden its sensor technology and provide support for various platforms such as BMW, Audi, VMW, Kia and Hyundai.
Schrader’s Director of Product Line Marketing and Management, Paul Wise stated that the company is reaching its 90% coverage goal by the end of 2011. He added that the company has carried out rigorous testing to make sure that the sensor technology fulfills the industry standards. Bartec provides hand-held equipment that is utilized to develop the EZ-Sensors.
