Mettler Toledo Introduces Portable Dissolved Oxygen Measurement System

Mettler Toledo has introduced a portable system, the InTap 4070i, to measure dissolved oxygen. The battery-powered device is based on Mettler Toledo’s M400 series transmitter and incorporates an advanced optical oxygen sensor along with Intelligent Sensor Management.

Brewers can use the oxygen sensor to easily and accurately calculate the concentration of dissolved oxygen with a minimum resolution of up to 0.1 parts per billion. The InTap 4070i system incorporates the same sensing technology used to supervise the in-line brewing process, thus ensuring that brewers take accurate readings which can be cross checked with in-line measurements.

The advanced oxygen sensor combines Mettler Toledo’s Intelligent Sensor Management software and hardware, which supports off-line sensor calibration when used with PC-based iSense. The Intelligent Sensor Management also protects essential data about the sensor.

The Brewing Industry Manager of Mettler Toledo, Brian Vaillancourt stated that the major features of the maintenance-free portable dissolved oxygen sensor include faster response time and longer battery life.
