The proprietor of Beverly Port Marina, Frank Kinzie, on 14th June, 2011 had noticed something strange, a missing yacht. However, Kinzie located the 1980 61-foot Hatteras yacht within minutes with the assistance of the RMT Smart Tracker, a GPS tracking device from Rocky Mountain Tracking.
Earlier, Jon Silver, one of the Beverly Port Marina employees, had installed the Smart Tracker inside the yacht, which helped in easily tracking the boat. Once the GPS device was activated, Silver was able to locate the yacht 28 miles away in Boston, after which he contacted the police who gave the case to Federal Marshals.
Silver revealed that the GPS tracking device, which was easy to install and simple to activate, had worked as expected. He also mentioned that without the tracker the boat would not have been recovered.
The Smart Tracker, developed by Rocky Mountain Tracking, is a live and on-demand tracking device which could be activated when necessary and be turned off when not needed. The yacht was not damaged during the theft chiefly because of the speedy recovery. So far the authorities have not been able to put the blame on any person or persons for taking the yacht.
Companies and individuals recognize RMT as a trusted name in the GPS tracking industry and consider it as the key choice for an anti-theft device. As GPS installations are found all over the nation and more than 50,000 GPS trackers have been sold, RMT has become the most popular and trusted name in GPS tracking.
