System Sensor Unveils AMCF-CO for Handling Fire and CO Detection

System Sensor has unveiled its latest product, the Advanced Multi-Criteria Fire/CO Detector (AMCF/CO). This device is a smart and cost-effective solution, combining both fire and CO detection in one single unit.

Fire/CO Detector (AMCF/CO)

According to Kris Cahill, the Senior Product Manager for System Sensor, the device is designed by incorporating two of their award winning products, the CO1224T carbon monoxide detector and the Advanced Multi-Criteria Fire Detector, thereby giving the best solution in the market.

The AMCF/CO works hand in hand with the B200S addressable sounder base, developed by System Sensor. The B200S creates both Temp 4 and Temp3 patterns for CO and fire alarms, which are matched across all the sounder bases. The sounder base could also function as a part of the system for evacuation signaling, by full synchronization with other System Sensor horn strobes and horns within the facility.

Normally, a total of six devices along with addresses on the loop, junction boxes and material and labor costs would be needed for handling the CO and smoke requirements in all the applications. To the end user, the building occupant, three devices namely a mini horn, a separate smoke detector and a separate CO detector would be fixed either on the ceiling or on the wall giving a totally unappealing look to the room. However, this new device with its innovative technology and cost effectiveness would prove to be a highly appealing solution.
