Temperature@lert has announced that it has released the Cellular Edition 400, a cellular environmental monitoring device.
This device includes four sensing and control ports and added onboard flash memory. It also has the capacity to keep track of the temperature and other parameters in places which do not have internet or phone connections such as commercial refrigeration, bio or pharma vaccine storage and IT server rooms. The Cellular Edition utilizes cloud-based sensor technology and it is a fault-tolerant temperature monitoring system which relays directly over national cellular networks for reducing temperature-related asset losses and strictly complies with data logging regulations.
Moreover, the device informs users when there is a failure or power loss, and even after that it could work for a maximum of four weeks by using its backup batteries. In case there is a temperature related event, the consumers could preset who is to be notified and the mode i.e. email or phone or message. According to Harry Schechter, who is CEO of the company, this product would help those companies which work in distributed and mission critical conditions such as farms, remote or offsite server rooms, refrigerated trucking and mobile medical operations. This technology is similar to plug-and-play and hence customers could either modify or add more sensors with great ease and obtain sensor readings on the Sensor Cloud website via the Cellular Edition. A host of sensor configurations such as humidity, wind speed, soil and moisture are also included in its sensor line.
