MarketResearch Releases New Report on Temperature Sensors

A new report has been released by MarketResearch.com titled ‘2011 Temperature Sensors’ to add to their portfolio of Electronics market reports. According to the report, the future for IC temperature sensors is promising.

A wide range of applications for IC temperature sensors, such as high volume and ever growing personal electronics, LCDs, mobile phones and computers are available. IC temperature sensors are also seen on several printed circuit boards and in equipments which include a hard drive.

Currently, the automotive market appears to favor temperature sensor suppliers mainly due to technological advancements, lowering of emissions and focus on improving the fuel economy. The wireless sensors used in making surface temperature measurements with wide temperature ranges are also popular. A new release is a family of temperature sensors, which includes serial EEPROM memory and non-volatile registers. Added integrated memory permits the saving of user settings over various power cycles.

The report has calculated that the market for temperature sensing ICs is $573 M now, and in the future it would grow with a compound annual rate of 5%, thereby taking the value to about $739 M by the year 2016.
