AuthenTec, a company, which deals with identity management and security solutions, has proclaimed that their AES2660 smart sensor has been incorporated on the back of Fujitsu’s new STYLISTIC Q550 tablet PC, for providing one-touch security.
This tablet provides security by complying with the most exacting Information and Communication Technology (ICT) requirements of security for businesses and governments and also meets the enterprise mobile computing demands.
According to Susumu Nikawa, who is the General Manager of the Personal Systems Business Unit in Fujitsu, the company was glad to work with AuthenTec, who has been their long time supplier for this tablet. He further added that this new tablet would help the businesses and governments to rapidly mobilize their workforce with the help of a platform, which would seamlessly fit into the Windows 7 environment’ and give the users a handy and expedient security system for them to gain access to enterprise resources and network.
The Vice President of Smart Sensor Solutions at AuthenTec has revealed that the AES2600 sensor adds to their portfolio of identity management and security solutions for the ever growing tablet PC market. He also states that their company was delighted to work along with topmost tablet manufacturers such as Fujitsu for offering strong and robust security.
The tablet is powered by the Z670 Oak Trail processor developed by Intel and includes a 10.1” touch screen display with a 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, an in-built 30/62 GB solid state disk (SSD), 2 GB RAM, an optional user interface (UI) layer, an active pen/digitizer, a front-facing camera, which would be used for video webcam chat and a rear-facing camera, which would be used for taking pictures. Superb connectivity is provided by Bluetooth, WLAN and 3G/UMTS for facilitating collaborations such as sharing of documents while traveling.
