Review Display Systems Introduces Projective Capacitive Touch Screen Sensors

Review Display Systems has introduced a new range of standard projective capacitive touch screens. These panels have been developed specially to fit into all the regular industrial TFT screen sizes such as the 15”, 12.1” and the 10.4” screens.

This technology gives several advantages to the industrial user, such as a 5 Mohs surface hardness, which would reduce damage via scratching when operations are being carried out. An 88% of light transmissivity along with an excellent performance in high ambient light would greatly enhance display readability. The user could also get the benefit of the optional multi-touch operation.

The environmental performance of the touch screens is also of high-quality. It can support gloved hand operations, due to its operating temperatures ranging from 10 to 70°C, whereby the front could be sealed to IP65. AMT makes use of a laminated design, in which the sensor is positioned between two glass layers. This helps the sensor to operate for long periods of time and also enhances the strength of the touch overlay.

Microsoft Windows 7 HID digitizer, Android operating systems, Linux, XP and Vista would be supported by the bespoke controller board. This would also allow dual finger or single finger touch with zoom-out, zoom-in and flicks functions. The panels can be easily integrated inside systems and it comes with a comprehensive guide, which would aid the engineers to mount the panels. Complete evaluation kits are also being offered. AMT is also supportive of the 7” and 4.3” small size PC sensors and also a custom design service.
