Certified Tracking Solutions (CTS) has announced that their telematics fleet management system had helped the Airdrie RCMP to capture, recovery and return stolen goods valued at $500,000.
The RCMP has been able to recover three separate loads of stolen goods during the past few weeks with the help of the CTS solution. The stolen goods included a costly Stump Remover, a Bobcat and a Ford F350 truck and they were returned to the Davey Tree Expert, the owner.
Mark Young who is the Area Supervisor of Davey Tree came to know about the theft of the equipment at around 4 am on August 17, 2011. CTS immediately notifies Young using email and text messages whenever any equipment belonging to Davey Tree is missing from their premises. Mark Young has revealed that the company was very happy with the CTS solutions for fleet management. This strong GPS device was easily able to detect the stolen stump remover which had a value of $100,000 and immediately notify them of the theft. They were now utilizing the CTS solutions to monitor and locate their fleet on a continuous basis. When Mark received the notification along with the details, he got in touch with the Airdrie RCMP and gave them the coordinates of the stolen item. After a short time interval the RCMP first found the stolen stump remover and then later a series of stolen equipments. The CTS GPS device was responsible for helping the Airdrie RCMP to locate and arrest the thief.
