Ophir-Spiricon Introduces PD10-IR-pJ Photodiode Energy Sensors

Precision laser measurement equipment provider Ophir-Spiricon has introduced its new PD10-IR-pJ Photodiode Energy Sensors, which can measure low energy, even as low as 30 pJ.

The PD10-IR-pJ

The novel devices, belonging to the PD10 series of silicon laser sensors, have a measuring range of 800–1,800 nm. Designed for applications in very low energy military and commercial areas, the PD10-IR-pJ can be used in remote sensing and telecommunications among others.

By using a 5 mm aperture germanium photodiode, the PD10-IR-pJ can measure pulse energies ranging from 200 pJ to 20 nJ. The device can compute very low energies, both on a repetitive basis or in a single shot up to 10 kHz.
