Carbon 612 Receives Patent for Non-Intrusive Electric A/C Sensor

Carbon 612, a subsidiary of the national provider of renewable energy to industrial, agricultural and commercial consumers, Clear Skies Solar has been awarded US Patent number US 7,990,133 for the Clear Coil or Non-Intrusive Electric A/C sensor.

The Clear Coil Sensor was designed during design of Carbon 612’s patented XTRAX wireless monitoring device. The compact Non-Intrusive Electric A/C sensor is a lightweight, re-usable and flexible device. The linear functionality of the sensor eliminates errors and maintains accuracy irrespective of high power conditions.

The XTRAX monitoring device has been designed to accurately measure the energy produced by renewable electrical energy systems. One of the lowest cost solutions available in the market, installation of XTRAX can be completed within 15 minutes in most cases.

Electrical sensors have been found beneficial in several commercial, industrial and residential applications such as measuring production/consumption of electricity, electrical billing and smart-home applications but are not a low cost solution since they are cumbersome and require longer installation time. The Clear Coil provides a low cost solution and also offers a high degree of accuracy. Unlike other devices that usually take longer time and require hard wiring, the Clear Coil provides a cost-effective alternative solution and also reduces installation time from hours to minutes.
