Colibrys Releases Precision Tilt Sensor for Aerospace and Industrial Applications

A MEMS-based custom solution provider based in Switzerland, Colibrys has launched a MEMS-based tilt sensor, the MS9001.D.

The MS9001.D has been developed specifically for use in platform stabilization applications used by aerospace and industrial companies such as scanning radar antennas, satellite communication, remote surveillance cameras, fire-control systems and industrial table-tops.

MEMS accelerometers which are silicon-based are desirable due to their low power consumption, compact size and cost. Since some applications demand a great degree of reliability, stability and precision while operating in difficult conditions, the MS9001.D MEMS sensor addresses these concerns by offering high linearity and precision and a rugged design.

The product development manager of Colibrys, Stephan Gonseth stated that the MS9001.D has been developed particularly for use as a ±1g tilt, and in measurement and control applications.. Available in a ceramic LCC20 package measuring 8.9mm x 8.9mm, the 9001.D also offers low-noise and low-power output that is also offered by other inertial products developed by Colibrys.

Colibrys is a global supplier of standard MEMS devices and custom novel MEMS solutions. Colibrys expertise encompasses total MEMS capabilities right from design, development, fabrication, packaging and MEMS component testing. Colibrys focuses on defense, industrial, aerospace, telecommunications and instrumentation applications.
