CAS DataLoggers in collaboration with ADwin have released the HSM-24V External Module developed for ADwin control and data acquisition systems.
It provides 32 digital input and output channels compatible with 24V signals and is best suited for industrial applications. The channels offer protection from short circuit and can be configured in sets of 8 and selected as digital inputs or outputs.
To ease the installation process of the control cabinets, the HSM-24V external module features in-built DIN-rail mounting clips. When the channels are selected as input channels, the integrated hardware filtering feature reduces the external electrical noise interference. An LED indicator associated with each channel provides visual status indication instantaneously.
The HSM-24V can be used to activate solenoid valves, relays and in switching on indicator lamps. It connects to the real-time ADwin system through the LS bus which supports a maximum of 15 modules with up to 480 input and output points. The bi-directional LS bus is supported compatible with the ADwin-Pro, the ADwin-Light-16 and the ADwin-Gold-II platforms.
Device users benefit from the various capabilities that enable high speed data acquisition, analog as well as digital inputs and outputs, signal conditioning modules, Fieldbus, CANbus and serial interfaces. A local DSP controller controls the data acquisition process and communicates with a PC through a shared memory interface that allows transparent access to control and data variables. The partitioned system shares the load allowing the DSP to control various time-critical tasks simultaneously while the PC handles data presentation, user interface and data storage.
