Blackline GPS and Spantec have signed an exclusive agreement regarding fall recognizing intellectual property that will be fitted within the mobile worker safety solutions of Blackline as True Fall Detection.
True Fall Detection supplements the technology portfolio of Blackline while improving safety solutions across the primary space of solitary workers to the widespread commercial safety marketplace, such as delivery services, construction and other mobile personnel.
Cody Slater, CEO of Blackline, said that the partnership with Spantec will help the company’s industry leading safety solutions to benefit from the fall detection expertise. He also added that True Fall Detection will capture and notify fall events in real time, and implicitly eliminate false alarms.
Future Blackline safety solutions, which highlight True Fall Detection, will combine enclosed micro-electro-mechanical sensors (MEMS) comprising gyroscopes and accelerometers that identify rotation of a body and three-dimensional acceleration in motion. The leading processing techniques of Spantec analyze data streaming continuously from MEMS sensors and distinguish the sign of a fall from the face of general activity.
Blackline will introduce its first safety solution highlighting True Fall Detection in the beginning of the fiscal year 2012. The company has a patent unfinished on the amalgamation of True Fall Detection inside personal safety solutions.
Armin Blaha, founder & CEO of Spantec, said that the company’s software expertise will complement Blackline's safety solutions and enhance their capacity to give out powerful safety solutions.
