Track What Matters, a GPS tracking solutions provider has announced that after GPS tracking devices were installed in the vehicles by Stallion Oilfield Services located in Sibley, LA, the overtime expenses incurred by the company were reduced by half.
Stallion Oilfield Services originally required a solution using which the company could track as well as monitor the activity of its employees. After the installation of GPS-based wired-in tracking units in 16 vehicles, the company noted the benefits offered by the GPS tracking solution and expanded the installations to 150 vehicles.
The operations support manager of Stallion Oilfield Services, Brett Johnson stated that after adding the GPS units from Track What Matters, the company has felt a tremendous impact resulting in decrease of overtime by 50%. Johnson added that since employees are aware that the vehicles are being tracked along with weekly review of reports, it has resulted in increased longevity of engine life in trucks and has reduced the maintenance costs of vehicles as well. Furthermore, none of the drivers received a speeding ticket since the installation in 2010. Another advantage of the GPS units is that the company has reduced its hourly rates since the hours are directly retrieved from the installed unit.
The Chief Executive Officer of Track What Matters, Steven Van Ooyen stated that one of the many benefits of scrutinizing usage activity of fleet vehicles using GPS tracking is its impact on the bottom line. Ooyen also added that the customers have reported that apart from aiding in the speedy recovery of misplaced or stolen vehicles, the customers are also benefitted by reduced fuel consumption, improved safety, reduced insurance premiums and reduced private use of the company vehicles.
