A design relating to motion sensing and control features the ZMOTION of Zilog whose technology is enabled by the Z8 Encore! Z8F082A microcontroller and a passive infrared sensor. A brushless DC motor and the Z8 Encore Z8FMC16100 MCU are featured in the motor control reference design. A sophisticated lighting control application that incorporates the Z8 Encore! XP Z8F1680 microcontroller-based design to control LDS8720 and a IXYS LED driver is also being showcased at the exhibition. The Z8 Encore! XP Z8F1680 microcontroller drives 32 LEDs powered through solar cells from IXYS.

IXYS’ CEO Nathan Zommer informed that the functioning of the iPad of Apple as an enhanced control and demonstration platform will be demonstrated during the show by the Zilog team led by Darin Billerbeck, Zilog’s CEO.
