Location Based Technologies Introduces PocketFinder GPS Locator Mobile Apps

Location Based Technologies has declared that the PocketFinder personal GPS locators and vehicle locator applications are now available for mobile users. Users can download the iOS 5-compatible apps exclusively from the Apple App Store for their iPad, iPod and iPhone.

The app users will be able to access the same functions provided by the web-based PocketFinder location system and will be provided with a world map. With the use of gestures, it is possible for users to zoom in to even view the street so as to locate their family member or vehicle with an accuracy of 10 ft. Every PocketFinder locator device is capable of receiving updates over-the-air. Since there are several innovative features incorporated, automatic update of the device is possible.

The Chief Executive Officer of Location Based Technologies, Dave Morse stated that the PocketFinder App allows users to stay connected to the family member, asset or vehicle from any location and at any time.

The mobile GPS mapping application provides the accurate location of all PocketFinder vehicle and personal locators and allows users to establish zones and receive updates when a family member enters or exits the zone. Speed alerts can also be set up, which can be received through push notification, SMS text or email.

The portable personal GPS locator can be conveniently placed in a purse, pocket or backpack and transmits real-time data to the user. It has been designed keeping in mind children and seniors who need to be monitored closely. The GPS vehicle locator can be fixed to boats, jet skis and any powered vehicle and provides the user with details such as location and speeds.
