QuickMedical has introduced a new device to check cholesterol at homes called the CardioCheck. The device is an analyser that can be held by hand to test the lipid levels.
The device can be reused through strips that can measure blood indicators to detect cholesterol, diabetes and other diseases. It is programmable in six languages and has a memory that can store up to 30 results. The device which is accompanied by a free hard carrying case has been manufactured by Polymer Technology Systems.
The depression in economy has led to a situation where many patients are not covered through insurance. In such a scenario, patients find it difficult to repeat tests as it involves high costs and time. If patients want to order for online tests, they should be aware of the accuracy of tests and should also consult their doctors before ordering such a test. All these issues can be addressed by the CardioCheck device which can be used to carry out basic blood tests which can ascertain triglycerides, glucose, HDL and other factors. The device has a rugged carrying case. According to the Food and Drug Administration, home use testing devices can have the same level of accuracy as that of the devices available with the doctor, provided users adhere to the directions. However, doctors add that the findings from the device should not be interpreted on their own as various other factors like blood pressure and family history also play a role in ascertaining the overall health of a patient. QuickMedical is a company specialising in medical supplies and equipments and currently has 25,000 products in its profile.
