Antenova, an integrated RF solutions and antenna company, has declared special rates for its GPS RADIONOVA SS3 Receiver Module. The module is a total GPS receiver that has front end RF components and SiRFstarIII GPS IC in one compact, low-profile package.
The module is perfect device for producers seeking a reduced cost, total drop-in solution for a broad range of embedded applications that include automatic vehicle locators, personal trackers, USB dongles, data loggers, vehicle black boxes, portable media players and media tablets.
Antenova’s CEO, Greg McCray stated that the SS3 Receiver Modules have performed considerably well in the market and since they are able to manufacture it in bulk, it is possible to achieve considerable cost-savings. Hence it has become possible to offer the modules at a reduced cost. He also said that the company strives to continue providing customers with cost-effective, high-performance, total GPS receiver modules to be used in embedded solutions.
The receiver module is a compact, single package of 18.4 x 9 x 2.3 cu mm size and can be SMT mounted. The module runs on a 3.6 V positive bias supply with minimal power consumption and in low power modes to ensure energy-savings. The SiRF’s GPS software supports the module and a host processor interface, UART/SPI is used.
