SensoScientific, which specialises in providing solutions for environment monitoring has announced that it has been awarded a contract by Premier Healthcare Alliance to supply its Wi-Fi temperature monitoring system and other environment monitoring solutions to more than 2,500 hospitals and more than 76 healthcare sites that are members of Premier Healthcare Alliance.
The monitoring systems from SensoScientific for which patents are pending involve low cost infrastructure models thus removing the need for hardware, network server or any other software. The new Wi-Fi monitoring system consists of Wi-Fi radio transmitters of 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11b/g. This enables the system to be integrated into existing Wi-Fi networks. The sensors in the system can also use any WEP, WPA2 or WPA encryption and can establish communication with industry standard access points.
According to Mike Zarei who is the VP of Business Development, SensoScientific, its cost effective and comprehensive environment monitoring solutions can cater to laboratories, nutrition services, hospitals, pharmacies, vaccine centres and blood banks by helping them meet the health requirements of CAPS, AABB and Joint Commission. The Premier Healthcare Alliance was created by a group including 200 health systems and hospitals and is the largest organisation for group purchasing in the US. The alliance is focussed on improving health and healthcare provided to the general community.
