GPS Intelligence, a provider of GPS tracking solutions for government, law enforcement, and commercial applications, has introduced a new miniature version of its GPS tracker, the MicroTracker-Black. The device has an enhanced design for advanced covert surveillance applications.
The device has a new black design that ensures it is concealed easily. It weighs around 2 oz and has dimensions smaller than a credit card. The device can be used to track high value assets, vehicles and people. It has a Cell Tower Triangulation feature that enables tracking in mountainous regions as well as dense urban areas and within buildings.
The Coverttrack Online Tracking Center enables aerial mapping for tracking assets, vehicle or persons. It also provides the direction of movement and the address. The information can be accessed using PDA-style cell phone or computers. It does not require any software installation. The tracking interval options range from 5 secs to 2 mins. The company provides tracking plans for the U.S. and for global coverage.
The battery in the MicroTracker-Black can function without requiring any recharge for around 21 days. The company offers extended batteries packs (optionally) that increases the recharge period to over 45 days. GPS Intelligence offers various types of mounts on vehicles, asset fastening and personal security options for surveillance placement of the tracker.
