The Gaiam Touch is available in striking colors with a simple and slim design having a thickness of 2 mm. Its directional touch screen eliminates cumbersome buttons and facilitates navigation between workout times, calories burned and heat rate. Oregon Scientific sells the new series across the country at its online store, Athleta, MC Sports, Academy Sports, Sports Authority and Target.

The heart rate monitor line is offered with a chest strap that enables continuous monitoring of heart rate or as a strapless version for on-demand monitoring of heart rate. The strap-free model uses ECG technology, providing accurate measurement of heart rate through a finger touch on its sensor.

The Strap model functions in analog and digital modes and monitors the amount of fat burned. Both strap and strapless models record heart rate and calories burned data easily. Clock, zone alarm, stopwatch and calendar features are all integrated into a slender design with a smooth silicon strap for a better relaxed workout experience.

Heart rate monitors are recognized as the ideal device to read both exercise intensity and heart rate for people seeking for the next-level workouts. Weight-reducing targets can be best achieved through sustaining a heart rate at 60% to 70% of the optimal rate or working out in the ‘fat burning zone.’ Both strap and strap-free versions provide alert signals during the rise or fall of heart rates against optimal rates so that the pace can be maintained to accomplish the fitness goals. Profiles of users can be registered in setup mode for a more tailored workout experience.
