Networkfleet has launched the Network fleet 5000 fleet tracking hardware series. This system can be used for tracking a fleet of light to heavy duty vehicles and also provides visibility to the fleet managers into the fleet assets round the clock.
With the help of this system the managers will be able to identify the vehicles on a real-time basis and be informed with data pertaining to the fleet such as mileage, speed, diagnostic trouble codes and the fuel consumption.
The 5000 series product line comprises of two hardware devices, which are rugged and designed as per automotive grade. The 5200 is priced at an affordable price, while the 5500 is equipped with the capability of connecting to the diagnostic port of the vehicle in order to monitor the status of the engine. Both the models come with a built-in accelerometer and options for plugging in multiple ports. The 5500 model provides vehicle diagnostics for detecting ignition status, odometer and checking of the fuel efficiency. The installation of the models is a hassle-free procedure and can be done without splicing wires. There is an internal antenna, which ensures constant connectivity with the GPS system. Through the serial port provision, one can easily integrate with Garmin devices with a Garmin FMI cable and with laptops and other devices. Sensor ports are present for monitoring of voltage events that occur in the vehicle which facilitate power take off, engagement/disengagement and opening and closing of doors.
