OMRON to Release Fiber Amplifier Series and Open Network Sensor Communication Units

OMRON is all set to release open network fiber amplifier sensor communication units and fiber amplifier series.

OMRON’s new E3X-HD fiber amplifiers are easy to operate when compared to standard devices. They feature a novel proprietary smart tuning function that allows accurate adjustment of the light intensity and sensor thresholds for ensuring constant detection conditions. A press button is used for controlling the tuning function. The symbolic indicators and the setting visualization screen allow confirmation of the settings. These features allow even newly recruited operators to set the configurations.

OMRON’s smart power control function guarantees the stability of detection accuracy. It senses and automatically compensates for deterioration in LED light intensity and light incident levels.

The company’s GIGA RAY II lighting element leads to a 25% total reduction in consumption of power, when compared to OMRON’s earlier models. It has a 150% increase in power efficiency and a new circuit design. The savings are achieved without any modifications in response time settings or sensing distances.

The new E3X-CRT & E3X-ECT open network fiber amplifier sensor communication units that are being released can communicate over “CompoNet”, “EtherCAT” and other such high-speed open networks. This leads to reduction in the amount of wiring and cabling. Display monitors and programmable logic controllers can be used for easy configuration and monitoring purposes. These communication units are designed for applications with fiber amplifiers.

The unit consumes power of 720 mW maximum in the normal mode and 530 mW maximum in the eco mode.
