Rolls-Royce has acquired a Norwegian company named ODIM ASA. ODIM ASA is a technology group that designs and manufactures technologically advanced automated handling systems for the civil nuclear, naval, and oil and gas sectors.
ODIM Brooke Ocean and ODIM Spectrum, a part of ODIM ASA’s portfolio, mainly focus on the naval sector. These companies will now be added to Rolls-Royce’s naval marine business portfolio.
Rolls-Royce’s President, Naval, Andy Marsh, informed that incorporating the range of ODIM ASA’s underwater sensor handling devices into the company’s business will allow them to provide a variety of services and products to their clients in the naval market.
ODIM Spectrum and ODIM Brooke Ocean will be represented under the Rolls-Royce banner at upcoming exhibitions. These events will be held in Germany, Canada, USA and Australia.
Rolls-Royce provides advanced and comprehensive power solutions for sea, air and land applications. The company primarily focuses on defence aerospace, civil aerospace and marine markets. It handles a broad customer base that includes gas turbines, airlines, armed forces and marine clients, energy customers, and helicopter and aircraft operators. Rolls-Royce has also invested a considerable amount in research and development to reduce environmental impact of its products.
