MultiDimension Technology, a provider of magnetic sensors with expertise in tunneling magnetic resonance technology (TMR), has introduced three models of linear magnetic field sensors that include the MMLP57F, MMLP57H and MMLD47F.
These linear magnetic field sensors are capable of ensuring an ultra-less hysteresis less than 0.1% of the full-scale field value, less power consumption of about 5 mW, increased sensitivity up to 6 mV/V/Oe, and high dynamic operation range of about +/-70 Oe, which are not possible with any other magnetic field sensor. The TMR linear magnetic field sensors can be operated at variable conditions and can be used in a variety of consumer and industrial applications such as current, position and magnetic field monitoring systems.
The three models of TMR linear sensors are available in a compact DFN8 package of dimension 3 x 3 x 0.75 mm and SOP8 package having 6 x 5 x 1.7 mm dimension for space-constrained designs. These TMR linear sensors offer magnetic field sensitivity of about 3 to 6 mV/V/Oe, increased temperature stability operating from -40°C to 125°C, and a power usage of about 5 to 12.5 mA with a voltage supply of 1V.
Dr. Song Xue, MultiDimension Technology’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, state that the company can provide an accurate measurement, increased sensitivity, reduction in current consumption and increased dynamic operating range in a single sensor design using TMR technology, which is not attainable with any other magnetic sensing technologies such as giant magnetoresistance (GMR), hall effect, or anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR).
