YEI Technology Uses Patent-Pending Inertial Technologies for 3-Space Sensor Development

YEI Technology has employed patent-pending inertial technology for developing a YEI 3-space sensor portfolio of smart inertial measurement units (IMUs) as well as attitude and heading reference systems (AHRS).

The superior inertial technology is entering the mass-market and has cost-sensitive applications without compromising on performance.

The individual YEI 3-space sensor is featured with the triaxial accelerometer, compass, and gyroscope sensors in conjunction with superior on-board processing and filtering algorithms to perform real-time determination of orientation with respect to an absolute reference. YEI technology’s product portfolios ensure a range of performance, communication and packaging options including fully integrated battery-powered TSS Bluetooth, ultra-miniature surface-mountable TSS embedded module, TSS Data-logging versions and TSS wireless 2.4GHz.

The proprietary multi-reference options will reduce and compensate the errors occurring in the sensor and increase the measurement accuracy rate. The YEI 3-space sensor device is designed with a dynamic sensor confidence algorithm, which ensures precision across a broad range of functioning conditions. The AHRS and IMU system will provide completely filtered orientation and sensor information outputs at a rate of up to 200Hz and 1000Hz respectively.

The features of YEI 3-space sensor products can be accessed through a well-documented open communication network employing different interfaces, which ensure access to all available configuration parameters and sensor information. The raw, normalized sensor information outputs available in several formats for e.g. Euler angles can be accessed using versatile commands. The sensor data can be visualized either in the log data or graphical formats by employing the free YEI 3-space suite for future analysis.
