Hollysys Automation Technologies, a Chinese-based provider of control and automation technologies and applications, has entered into a contract of about $18.75 million or RMB 118.8 million with Beijing Metro Construction and Administration for delivering the incorporated surveillance control and data acquisition (SCADA) system.
Hollysys’ integrated SCADA systems will be supplied to the Beijing subway line 14 having 37 stations, which is a 47.4 km ‘L’ type mass transit subway line linking the southwest and northeast of Beijing. The company has planned to complete the phase I of the contract during 2013 and the entire line of business operation by the year end of 2014.
In accordance with the terms of the contract, the company will deliver the turn-key solution including the system design, hardware integration, installation and testing, application development, and maintenance and services of the SCADA system on the basis of its proprietary MACS-SCADA software protocol. In addition to the supply of the SCADA system, the company will also provide its large scale PLC to its electrical and mechanical control system (EMCS) and power SCADA (PSCADA) applications.
Hollysys’ Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, Dr. Changli Wang, stated that the company is delighted to enter into this contract for delivering SCADA systems to the Beijing subway line 14 and also to other successful applications including Beijing Yizhuang Line, Beijing Subway Line 8, Shenzhen Subway Line 1 and 2, and Beijing Subway Line 13. Wang added that with this contract, the company further validates its proprietary capability in both the international and domestic rail industry.
