Valencell, a fitness and mobile health technology innovator headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, has announced that the company will showcase the V-LINC sensor technology at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 being held at the Las Vegas Convention Centre, Nevada.
The V-LINC sensor solution developed by Valencellcan continually measures biometric data in real-time with greater accuracy and can be used in any environment. The V-LINC demonstration will be presented across various mobile platforms, such as iPhone and Android phones at booth number 3638 located in the North Hall. The presenters will illustrate how the technology can measure continuous heart rate, speed, distance and calories burned across multiple scenarios such as stationary bikes, treadmills or any other exercise platform.
The Chief Executive Officer of Valencell, Steven LeBoeuf stated that studies have indicated that approximately 70 % of people who exercise regularly use audio headsets while working out. Valencell aims at making fitness and health more accessible through the earbud sensor technology.
