Linde Canada, an affiliate of Linde North America, has expanded its wide range of gas systems, services and product offerings with the G-TECTA portable gas detectors. Designed to provide maximum protection in hazardous working environments, the G-TECTA range of easy to use gas detection instruments is best suited for use in confined spaces such as construction, manufacturing, welding, oil refining and petrochemical sites.
The compact and light G-TECTA gas detectors can be easily fixed to a collar or a shirt using an alligator clip. To provide maximum visual awareness of hazardous gas levels present in confined spaces, the multi-gas detection devices are provided with an upward facing display. For visual and audible detection, alarm systems have also been equipped into the detectors. All the instruments have been certified to meet the standards of the Canadian Safety Associations.
The G-TECTA instruments can be used in explosive and noxious environments where oxygen displacement can pose a threat. During operation, the user can easily turn on the detector and if it detects a threat, the G-TECTA unit issues an alert by vibrating, displaying a visual alarm and sounding an alarm.
The eastern region area general manager for Linde Canada, Christian Lafleur explained that by repeatedly alerting the employee through senses of touch, sight and sound, safety of the worker is maximized.
The G-TECTA gas detector units are available in both single-gas and multi-gas options and can detect a maximum of 28 different gases including carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide and oxygen.
